as i sand it, the denim pattern becomes clearer and brighter, i guess due to less 'top coat' over whatever be down there, lol.

i'm just trying to get the same feel as the Northwoods denim micarta, you could feel the fabric with no sanding. Also it still feels like smooth...
You can see the 'woven fabric' in the denim micarta, but if you sand it down to get to the actual 'woven 'fabric' as i am doing, you'll get a lot...
Checked my swayback work knife with the unknown, AKA 'Quickcelluloid' handle material: no cracks but has shrunk back from the end of the knife...

I just got the denim easy-open, a very nice knife. It is extremely clean, no dirt or grit anywhere. F&F excellent, walks and talks loudly.
