Same experience here - 6 modern recent Case Barlows, and only one has no issues I can find. Also agree on staying out of the vault. Maybe work...
Brass patina coming along nicely on the new user. For me, Boker knocked it out of the park with the green micarta and brass Barlows.
A little added metal and stuff for weight (missing a few items), keeps me from blowing away in the wind. o_O

I'll have to get mine out and check it, but I think it is my one Boker with slight de-centering and very minor blade play. It wasn't...
Agreed. The Bog is close, and I like the spear blade.
I like them both, but the Explorer takes the cake for me. Just something about that...
