Looks great! I think the micarta will be the best looking of this run if the red bone ends up having pink spots.

 

Very happy with mine, can't wait to see how the bone turns out.

 

Was able to snag a canvas today. Paid an inflated dealer's price, but seemed worth it to me. These are looking great.
I was actually planning to hold out for the dead skunks to start releasing, but seeing those seams convinced me otherwise. I'm all for not wasting material, but that really looks bad to me. And it would just be luck of the draw whether you end up with a "seamer" or not. There was a time I would have assumed GEC would stamp an "S" on knives like those.

Anyhow looking forward to receiving this. Been a minute since I owned an 85.

Agreed. The bigger size of the run is good, but there will still not be enough for all that want one, I’m sure.

 

Got mine tonight and definitely agree! Rock solid. Makes the recent TC pulls look just silly.

When the 85s micarta matures these two are going to make a great team.

 

The bottle shield rules! Its nice they throw in some unique shields every now and again! I know they aren't for everyone, but I get a kick out of them. I'm trying to stir up a trade for one of those micartas after all these awesome pics.
