A couple of my sons love the stuff, but I can't stand it! I'm glad there is plenty of variety for everyone.

With that size, you only need 7 or 8!

I had one of these with my supper tonight. I don't drink this often and am surprised how much I enjoy it when I do have one:

    Angel's Envy is good stuff.

Don't get me wrong, pappy van winkle is as good as advertised (and I paid a hell of a lot more than 30 for a shot) but so is the 12 year WL Weller (which is now also impossible to find but not as bad as pappy).

I don't have the most discerning taste buds but I would probably have a hard time telling them apart in a blind taste test.

I stick with the Weller antique as my go to wheat bourbon.

You're a terrible influence on me, I swear.... I picked up a bottle of this today, and sampled it a little bit ago. This is very likely to make it into my permanent rotation of Scotch whiskeys.... I'll check it again tomorrow to see if I still feel the same way, but... MAN, it's tasty. The guys at the store warned me... "this is one of those 'peaty' whiskeys, if that makes a difference" They all estimated it to be slightly less peaty than Ardbeg, which I like, so I put it in the bag.
    I like it.

It's definitely a good one for the money - glad you find it to your liking. Ardbeg, of course, is always excellent!

Something a bit lighter for me today during a break.

I was born in TN 80 miles from Lynchburg. I’m loyal to Jack Daniels for pride but I love Woodford Reserve and a lot of the good bourbons definitely more.

Stuff’s delicious. I could drink the 4 pack in no time. I enjoy the large bottles from Samuel Smith.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bonded Old Grand-Dad when I first had it. Haven’t tried the 114 yet. Dickel 12 ain’t bad either.

    :D :D

I’ve always thought Islay whiskies tasted like English (Latakia-blend) pipe tobacco.
