The real question is, what are you going to do with the remainder?
And you gonna ruin the suprise! haha.
Been grinding a little on the discarded piece already. Plenty of metal to make something cool i think. If I get a chance later tonight, I'll post a pic of the original scrap section.
good to see you're still alive and kicking!
that scrap would make an awesome necker. heat the back end up and curl it over
I made a neat little kiridashi with what was left over on mine.
Hey Vik! Yea, I'm still kicking. haha
And that is an idea I have-not thought of yet. May be a possibility. I was gonna cut it, but now I will ponder your idea. I do like that option as well. Thanks!
That's what I was gonna do too. How did yours come out? Any pics?
And here is a pic of the scrap before I started shaping it.
That's a well-executed mod there Dex! Clean work and looks great!
Oooh, or a claw! Or a mini pole-arm!
(kiridashi is clearly a winning idea. I'd biru that sucker in a second. Or... nevermind, drilling hardened steel is no fun.)
exactly - hence the suggestion of heat and beat.
OTOH, that would make an awesome mouse-killer axe head -- drill a stick and hammer the tang through it then file to a chisel point.
The piece is is far too thick for this, but if you leave that top curve alone and reshape what is left, I see a mini BK 21 emerging . . .
Nice work Dex!
Good to see ya around.
