I suppose weed wacking IS better than shoveling snow. But it still sucks. Spring is in full swing in San Diego. To paraphrase Mr. Hammerstein, "the weeds are as high as an elephant's eye, and they looks like they're climbing clear up to the sky."

Very sorry to hear that JP, a great loss :( Thank you though, for sharing the sad news, and for once again providing a link to that fascinating film

This is far as I'm grinding it. The edge will sharpen back to refine the point. Eventually.

I don't think this is worth its own thread, but all the talk of large, single-bladed Eurotrads got me thinking about these.

All three are nice, but that one in the middle, is a marvel.

Thanks. I love that middle one too. I anguished about buying it, since it was $40 and I'd already bought a lot of knives that year. I should use it in the yard. It feels quite strong.

I am finally back in full swing sorry I've been gone for awhile but sometimes life can throw you a curve ball and changes your routine. Anyway I sure miss this forum when I have to be away for awhile.

i received the Case barlows I ordered from @knifeswapper and was very pleased I'm going to see if someone has started a thread about them. That's another thing being away for a awhile you don't know what's been happening.

The missing is mutual Randy. We like having you around.

    Nice Barlows. Congrats!

I have eclectic tastes in music (knives, too. But you folks already knew that.)
    Here's an oddity for you...

There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend. Those with loaded guns and those who sing.

Looks like Eli Wallach didn't get away this time.

If I ever have to face Clint Eastwood, I'll draw while he's rearranging his poncho with his gun-hand.
