Found out a couple days ago that state parks are starting to open here in California, and that means backpacking season will finally get started (typically, I start in March). Headed out for an eight mile day hike today as I continue to get the legs prepped. Creeks are still full here in Southern CA, which makes for some interesting crossings for the “Corona Hikers” who are enjoying the trails and beautiful weather (now that the world is not coming to an end)... many are new to hiking. This image is on the other side of one. Trekking poles make ALL the difference getting across them dry...
