Really neat! I may have missed it, but what knife is this? It looks like an upgraded Spyderco Roadie.
I do believe it is the tungsten carbide blade made by Sandrin, or something like that! They are.sold thru the 1911 custom pistol maker that makes the American Joe!!!!! Cabot guns.. Sweet but pricey!!!!! Some cool stuff there!!
Nice set up
I just went over and checked the Lanzo out at the cabot site. It does seem a tad pricey for a 3" slip joint, but what struck me is the blade thickness is listed at .035" which is just a few thousandths over 1/32". Its pointier brother, the Dellatorre, is spec'd the same. @Chefget that sure seems impossibly thin. Do you have the thickness dimension on yours?
I just googled Sandrin knives and found a cutting test vid on the tungsten carbide blade of another of their models that's the same material as the two I mentioned above and listed at the same thickness. Ridiculously thin and ridiculous test result.
Found these in the mailbox today
The Excalibur is on loan from @Blues Bender since he knew I wanted to check one out. Great lockup, just a touch less side play than the scarab and a smidge more vertical. Nice action, and that "mid-lock" is interesting... even if it misfired, you'd still have 2" of locked stabbiness
Picked up the R.A.M. here on the exchange, it had been mentioned as having great flipping action (which it does) but more importantly I needed an example of the Hawk Lock
that new new.
sprint Kershaw knockout and new kicks
Hey, I’ve got those 87s and my Bareknuckle should be here Sat. You sir have very good taste.
Over the last three days during another hectic week at work...
My DP Lynch clip just arrived for the Hogue Ritter. Might have to give it a try for Friday.
I can’t remember the last time this happened but this Ritter has been in my pocket since it’s arrival about a week if my calculations are correct
Ok Friday’s pick ready to ride.
Lynch clip added and it’s a nice piece but had to remove my lanyard. Feels good in hand it’s a quality piece. The MXG feels a little better in hand but not much unless your splitting hairs. The lynch rides a little deeper in the pocket and slides out a little easier do to we’re the clip rides on the textured scale.
Lovem both but I’ll let the lynch ride for a while and I like the black to
Nice picture and blade brother !
I don’t think you can go wrong with this pattern. I enjoy mine immensely !
Relax, tongue was firmly in cheek...
