LOL, I'm talking Tina and I'm going to kill you
Happy Throwback Thursday! Going with a Remington R3693 Cattle Knife Whittler today. 3 back springs, slanted bolsters, Acorn shield and a nice swedged long-pull blade.
Remember- every Remington knife with an Acorn shield has a punch, but not every Remington knife with a punch has an Acorn shield.
Patina Tina is a bit scurry! Lol
Finally worked up the sand to actually carry and use this guy!
My favorite 940 variant by far, the 940-1701:
My suggestion: Chaparral FRN Gray. 2.8" of XHP steel with a weight of 2oz. Has become my office carry of choice. "Lunchroom friendly" as Shabazz would say.[/QUOTE]
The Para 3 LW and Chaparral along with the native 5 Lw are what I keep bouncing around betwee . Only want one though.
Thanks man! I think I must have grabbed one of the last of these for sale and that was several years ago. I really wish I had one of the wood handled versions.
Todays duo, FK2 and a #43
These two are with me today.
I just had the same exact experience with a brand new Medford Praetorian Slim I just received. Terrible lock stick and really bad lock design choices means its getting sent back. At least yours had some chamfering on the lock bar.. my praetorian slim lock bar was just a 90 degree SHARP angle. Not only does the model have no cut out on the show side for lock bar access, my lock bar side was actually lower than the show side. If that was intentional then its bad design, if not then its bad craftsmanship. That combined with the very thin opening and the terrible lock stick made it impossible to open comfortably. I liked the look of it and how thin it was, but there are some major design issues that need to be addressed. Im ok with having to break in a titanium frame lock knife (I shouldn't be since other companies have shown its not a necessity) but I cant break it in if I can barely even access the lock. Just a really big disappointment on a $500+ knife.
Spyderco Delica 4 in Damascus and titanium
