After posting my Crooked River from our hilltop meadow Monday (my wife has named that prominence 4G ) I gave up trying the next few days as we mostly stayed near the cabin on the lower acreage for the rest of our Vermont sojourn where the signal was too weak and intermittent to upload pics or text. We're back on Cape tonight and I'll get caught up here before heading off to bed. Tuesday I drove into the village to pay our real estate taxes and spent time catching up with our Town Clerks. I got the Polaris Ranger going when I got home, then our neighbors from down the road stoped by for a visit before J and I took a short jaunt around our two small lower fields. I stuck with wooden scales again that day, carrying my HAP40 Police. Wednesday it rained and we had a lazy day, just hanging around the house doing odds and ends, prepping a little to leave the next day, J reading and me playing with knives, trying to find the right paracord and knots to go with the new bead I got for my Rainmaker. I settled on the only 750 cord I have and a couple False Turks to try to match the size of the nice looking, but really kinda too big 3/4" bead that came just before we headed north. After breakfast today we spent the morning packing up and getting everything ready to leave this afternoon--J mostly doing inside stuff and me mostly outside. I had my Tabargan on me for those chores and switched to the RDD for the trip back south. I'll catch up with the thread tomorrow, but thanks to those who passed on more birthday wishes after my day.
