This knife below is the knife my buddy showed me that got me into knives. Finally got one!
Picked up a ZT 0801 Sprint and a WE Knives / Ferrum Forge Malice.
Fiddleback Forge Gaucho -
Blown away by quality and craftsmanship in this knife. Buttery smooth and flips like a dream. Picked it up here a couple days ago.
Pena Lanny's Clip w/ Denim Micarta and Mokuti Clip.
Love that denim micarta!
Automatic bottle opener by Böker.
Got a Sage 5 on the way, should be here tomorrow.
An Ontario RAT 1 and II in D2 just came in the mail today. The RAT II with the carbon fiber option. I finally ordered one after hearing so much about them, the second seems to have snuck into my cart when I wasn't looking. Quite nice little beasties for $30.00.
Izula 2. This one is going to get stripped and the scales died black. I just don't like the heavy coating on these.
Brian Nadeau "Sharp by Design" Evo Typhoon
Hey there aleforme...
I do the same to all of my ESEE knives... Before I remove the coating, I often etch the logos and lettering. I think it gives it a cool look.
I need to read up on etching. I really like how the lettering and logos stand out. Did you die those scales?
Yes, the scales are dyed with Rit black... They etching is quite simple. Just apply some PCB etchant with a glass dropper to the areas that you want the effect (BEFORE you remove the blade coating), let sit for a bit and rinse off. If you want a deeper etch, you can reapply for a longer period of time.
What knife is this? I'm loving those clean lines. Very nice!
