    Howdy, guys.
Great news and bad news today.
Great news for me but I know there will be lots of disappointed folks out there because of it.
The z-sere generation one has been picked as the official knife to be given to every Sere instructor graduate. It means big changes for me and big changes for the wait list. The first six knives are due in June so that means the wait list just got real uncertain. The school graduates no more than about 55 instructors per year but 55 huge knives is a lot of work. I'll be sending out an email shortly to everyone on the wait list to inform them of the situation.
The knife will look similar to this one.
The Air Force is going to re-name the knife in honor of a former Sere instructor and that name will be etched on the opposite of the blade.
More information about the Sere instructor school can be found here if you're interested:

Special thanks goes to Terry Barney. If he and I weren't friends this would have never come about. It was Terry's Zinsmeister knife that was the inspiration for this knife. Terry sent me a template of the original knife to use as a base for the z-sere. Thanks, Terry. I owe you for more than this and you now I appreciate your friendship.

That's all for now, I wanted everyone to be aware of what's happening.

Good stuff! Hang on to those Turley knives guys, they will be collector items. Iz, do you think you will still make many knives outside the sere market? Is it best to wait till you get settled into a routine?

Thanks, Rocky. Yeah, I'll definitely still make customer knives. The wait list is much longer than it was before but if people are willing to wait then I'll definitely make them a knife.
