Trade ya a tibetan longsword for it
Haha had to try!
Nothing wrong with trying!
Almost a gladius.
How did I miss that!?
Congrats. Hellova deal and what a gorgeous blade. Next time....
I will post pics later, after I take them, and upload them, but this sword is awesome!
Th blade is an elongated spear vala, sharp edges on both sides of blade, all the way to the end point. Fullers to die for, the carved handle is the perfect thickness, and is beautiful, but the true thing of beauty is the guard, the end of the guard has 2 grooves, and within the grooves, are more markings, so small, detailed, and delicate. There is also carvings on the top of the guard, that surrounds the blade, I have seen this type of engraving on some of my wajaski swords by Kumar, and love them. All I can say is that I am blown away, this sword is beyond beautiful.
I believe it is worthy of some Pugs pants, and I may very well be calling on him to make a suitable pair of pants for this fine piece.
Aaargh! I feel the pain of having passed on this one.
Oh boy would would be a fun project for sure!
I'm going to see if Yangdu will put me on a waiting list for one.
FRODO LIVES !!!!!!
God, that's a thing of a beauty.
This is a superlative work of art.
Kumar has always been my favorite kami.
