I think so. It’s the okca club knife for this year.
I’m on standby, so I’m not too optimistic, but I could go for some Chestnut.
I personally like the hotdog shield. I think it fits well on most patterns.
I like the hotdog shield just fine on the right pattern. I never really cared much for the bar because it adds too much of a rigid look to generally curvy, rounded shapes. It might look good on a #15, #14, or #77.
I'm thinking these were all promised ahead of time before the "no more SFO" announcement.
Maybe the ‘no more SFO’ really means no new SFOs.
That’s fair, and I’m happy the OKCA is getting themselves a club knife, it’s just amusing to me to see SFOs almost a year after them saying they’re not producing them anymore.
“The year is 2088, GEC is still not producing SFOS, the OKCA club knife is a 98 camp knife with pioneer bone handles and a beaver shield.”
Yeah it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I sure wish we could get one more club knife out of them. We sure have had some fantastic ones in years past.
Key reason that badge shield looks so good is the fantastic jigging those came armed with
I believe the bloodwood will out class the shield on this particular knife so it won't matter too much.
Are there some beans that need spillin here?
All of the beans that I am prepared to spill are spilled.
You should be thrilled just to get back to back knives.
I want to give a HUGE thank you to Paul (@marsturm) for selling me these knives at a very fair price. The members of Blade Forums are truly a special group of people. I know there are a couple that aren't GEC, but the majority are, so I thought this thread was the place to show off my new ones and brag on Paul's generosity. I'm wanting to try and collect as many of the yearly forum knives as possible, and he helped me out with a huge chunk of them!
oh yes - Back Knives Matter!!
I am very excited for the bloodwood! I wish the bloodwood was going with the Northfield trimmings and the jigged bone would have been Tidioute.
This is by far my favorite shield. Beautiful Farmers Jack BTW.✌
You are correct. I've been on a string of great luck lately. The 85 will be my 2nd GEC with a caplifter in less than a year. Add in Vipers, Mustangs and TC Barlows... what did I do to deserve this haha
