Just last night finished reading it. Agree with Ted. Loved Skippy & tribe. Weapon content was dead on.

I'm looking forward to another great read.

I remember the scene in the first book where the pot-bellied farmer with a NRA cap uses a big elephant gun to drive off some incredible monster. I think it was a big cement gargoyle that had come to life and was crushing cars. After he drove it off he muses

"My wife said, Elmer, you have too many guns. What are you ever going to do with that big elephant gun. Harumph ... I guess I showed her ..."

I'm halfway through this great read. Ganga Ram and Chitlangi have already made appearances and 'Himalayan Imports' is duly credited.

I've long been a knife guy, but this series makes guns sound so appealing/interesting. Lord help me and everyone around me if I actually get the hankerin'. That would be monstrous. If it does happen it may be that 'Z Pitt' from the story might have to take me out.

Funny thing is that I recently read the books(all three MHI books), and that is what got me looking for Khukuris! Specifically the 18" Ganga Ram that I just ordered. I have guns... But MHI made me want a Ganga Ram Khukuri!

Cool! What character? (I hope you aren't one the agents that gets his nose broke...)

Nope. One of the MHI team characters, Van Zant.

I thought was you, John. I mean, I figured as much, but the way Larry painted the picture I was like, "Yep, that HAS to be John":D
Really neat series. I enjoyed the hell out International, Vendetta, and Alpha. I was totally sucked in by the unrelated Hard Magic. The mythos and thought behind the various powers was incredibly well done.

    I won't miss a single one of his books:thumbup:

I wish I could remember what made me want my first khukri. It was probably book or video game related. Or just reading about the Ghurkas.

You guys reminded me that I have some catching up to do. I just got MHV. Owen's GR khukuri comes strongly into play in the first chapter. I'm only up to chapter 2, but I think I've already found my favorite quote. "I wasn't sure if the government man or Susan had been more intimidating, but for entirely different reasons. One because it represented a soulless entity with the power to suck the very blood from the innocent, and the other because it was a vampire."

I told Larry, back in the day, that the Gang Ram would be perfect for someone like him (he's HUGE- his arms are the size of my thighs). Then he bought the Chit from me. He uses me as his knife-killing expert if he thinks a character needs one, like in Dead 6.

Larry is one of the nicest people I know, and really blossoming as a writer.

Ok, finished both his Grimnoir Books, they are great as well. I wish Dead 6 was out in audio do I could get it. (I do my reading while I drive!!)

His books are great, and he introduced me to Khukuri and HI. Even my hippy mom loves his books.
I feel like I should buy him a beer or something.

John, please tell Larry that if he's ever in my neck of the woods he can have a beer on me.
