Chief asked me what a guy does with something like that (I brought it for show and tell today). I told him pretty much anything I want.
His response was reckon so as he walked away.

Another one that pictures didn't do justice, didn't really call me to own one but holding it, different story.

We'll all get together one of these days. As Bookie suggested we'll plan way ahead and make it a be there or be square kind of thing.
We stay pretty close to the airport so folks that prefer to fly we could pick up, save car rental and stuff although most of the places have shuttles too.
Close as we are we never see the airport or hear planes. Did see a few this time, don't recall any when we were there 2 years ago.

I'd like to point out Bawanna's mustache is much like the larger kukris. You had to witness it to believe the epicness ;)

Also, auntie Yangdu is as nice as you can imagine, so her family is like the dictionary definition of welcome. You completely relax in a way that you don't most places. Everyone is as great as can be.

    Also, Momos are awesome.

Finally, there's nothing quite like being surrounded by kukris to make you appreciate their presence, which sets them apart from other knives.

Oh, and now I need to figure out what model of smaller Bowie
bawanna has. It's a great edc.

Ok pal, I got your number now. As you probably noticed I have the fine tuned hearing capabilities of a dead cedar stump. I caught your real name and Zero but not the end of it, thinking how many Zero's can be on the forum. There's a ton of em.

Your description of the hospitality is spot on, nicer people don't exist anywhere. The sisters and Auntie worked hard on a very hot day to wait on everybody like royalty.

That little bowie goes by several handles. Auntie generally calls it a Micro Bowie, many call it an IBBB, (itty bitty bawanna bowie) and some (makes me blush) just call it a bawanna bowie. I love that knife and it goes with me everywhere.
I was glad to get it back from Dino's wife, she had a look in her eye like your not getting this back. What could I do then ya know, kind of awkward.

Hopefully when the shop is rebuilt and orders caught up and semi normal returns to Nepal they can make another batch.
I keep trying to keep a spare but never seem to be able to hand onto it, somebody always talks me out of it.

I got an idea floating around in my head on a micro Cherokee Rose, wouldn't that be sweet for Sunday go to meeting or BBQ occasions. About a 3 1/2" blade, 4" handle shaped like a Rose!!!!

I was kind of on sensory overload trying to hear everybody, get as much quality time with auntie as possible and didn't really get much one on one time with you but enjoyed what little we had.
Without question I think everybody had a real good time. Mightly long drive the next day but I enjoyed every minute of that visit.

Zero_Time: as Bawanna said, it seems like it has a few names, including the IBBB and IBBBB (the blued one he did for GB). I snagged one last week, and can tell you Auntie did not know what I was talking about when I asked for an IBBB. I sent her a link to a thread and she told me it was called the "Mini Micro Bowie." So that's straight from the horses mouth, if you will. She said she only had one left, the one I got, but it might be worth shooting an email to be sure. I generally don't like the Bowie style at all, but I'm in love with mine already and have been carrying it nonstop. I highly recommend you grab one.

Edit: just checked my email again, she actually said "Micro Mini Bowie," not that it makes much of a difference

Zero_Time, I agree with SingleGrind. Get thee one. The IBBBs are awesome and in the hands of a skilled practitioner, highly customizeable to personalize it for the owner. I do believe there is at least a semi-skilled practitioner on this forum!

This was a great post. If we did plan a Khuk-Khon with enough advance notice, I would do my very best to be there. Even though it is a few years old, thanks for the post!

It does indeed and it brings back very fond memories. Yangdu and her sisters were non stop waitress's. I'd tell them no more, enough, I was so please when I finally got Chokpa to sit down for a minute. Never did get Kaanchi to sit, just go go go.
Randy told me it didn't do any good to tell them to stop, they would be back.
Contrary to my persona, I don't drink much, a single beer or a bit of Scotch now and then but them girls kept bringing beer already open. I told them I gotta drive 13 hours tomorrow, no more. Probably 4 or 5 before I told them, anymore and I'm pouring it out, kind of feel obligated to drink it ya know? I was really surprised I didn't feel poorly next morning but I was fine. Got lucky.

Kind of makes it more appealing to have another get together. A big room or something where somebody else does the waiting so we can visit with the family.

I recall on the trip year after that we had lunch at a place, a Casino, maybe Circus Circus? Anyhow just randomly picked a place and out of the blue Chokpa was our waitress. I recognized her right off but she didn't recognize me until I starting naming her family members. Great fun and what are the odds ya know. I think that was the year we met up with Bookie and his wife.
