Just figured this out. I have some people asking me where it is. Glad I figured it out. Sorry if I caused a problem over at Busse. Nuts.
I vividly recall that one! Sick. Just sick. I have been trying valiantly to hold off and not get a Last Rights. This certainly is no help!
Josh What is this grind called? I've seen it before. Also I'm guessing its purpose is to make it a better slicer yet it preserves tip strength for stabbing
It's just a compound grind... hollow on the rear and flat at the tip and yes you have it exactly correct regarding strength!!
Started these Saturday for @PeteyTwoPointOne... Surface ground, edges set to 18 dps, talon holes have partially been satin finished with new chamfers.
The EU17 is done, other than the logo (and probably microbevel)! Full flat grind satin finish, polished convex edge blended into the flat grind. Hope to finish up the other 2 tomorrow Ron
EXACTLY what the doctor ordered! Take your time, no hurries, because you know the saying: "We can't rush perfection"-- or the people who owe me for mowing their lawns, apparently
There's nobody who can grind to reveal every possible iota of utility in a blade like Josh. He looks at a factory Busse like Michelangelo looked at a chunk of marble-- he sees the masterpiece hidden inside. I'm lucky to have Josh as a friend and a professional contact.
Same here brother Probably... Not sure how good that would be on a chopper though lol, but I have a 36" wheel
