As this month slowly slips by, I cannot help thinking about the
saddest day of my life. March 28 is the day Uncle Bill, my beloved
husband, and Rusty, our close friend and forum moderator, died,
within 12 hours of each other.

Please hold them both in your hearts and minds today so they will
know that we still love them both and we will not forget them.

I know that if they are looking down on us, they will see that we are
continuing to build what Uncle Bill started many years ago. Thank
    you all for your support.

A sad day indeed. Thank You for the kind reminder Auntie.
Especially since it reminded me to sticky the Uncle Bill and Rusty memorial thread into the Cantina.

Always thinking of you Uncle and Rusty. Please know that we are doing our best.
A big THANK YOU to all our friends here for your support these many years. We are truly blessed.

Smoke and good thoughts going up for our friends who have walked west before us. I think of them often.

I feel a sense of loss about them, but, really, feel lucky to have had such lights in my life.

Glad Bill got out of the pain; glad Rusty didn't linger on and on.

    Neat highlights in my memories.

    :)

I'm too new to have known them but I can see what they wrote/created and can't help but think they were great men.

Blessings to you on your day of rememberance.

Thank you for the reminder. It's been a few years now, and I still miss them. Strange really, I haven't bought a khukuri since 2005, but I continue to visit this place because of the memories I have of Uncle Bill and Rusty.

As many people here have said before, I will say now: Words don't work. They don't replace both the memory of those who lived in their presence, and lives, of the men who passed on this day, years ago. I won't say anymore than this...because, again, words don't work.
Peace, Auntie Yangdu, and to all who suffer.

Both my elder and younger brother walking west in 12 hours of each other. I doubt that I'll ever be able to put words as to how I, like everyone else, felt that day and ever since... :(

I heard from Danny in Japan, and that got me thinking about all I've gained from my time here, and all of the friends that I have never met but share so much with here. I'll never forget Uncle Bill walking a noob through the selection of a khukri and how he said that he found one that was just right for me.
