    This thing is awesome, talk about splitting some wigs! The heft on it is just right, sturdiest hatchet I have. The handle a bit longer than a hatchet, and the head is a bit smaller too, but I am positive it'll work just as well, or better than my other hatchets, without a doubt.

    I've been meaning to ask how thick the "spine" is. It looked pretty thick in one picture but not near as this as other banchero types. More hatchet-like and less axe-like.
