    Is anyone familiar with Southern Crescent anvils? There is a local guy here who has a 190 lb. for sale. I've never heard of them

    Never used or saw one myself, but what I read of them was that they were good anvils. The main thing is the condition and the price.

    He is asking a firm $850. I should have done a search prior to starting this thread but...from what I have read, they are cast iron with a thin steel face. Seems like he is asking a lot. Guess I need to take a drive.
