It should be easier for sure. I don't think anybody should waste their time with the 4V from St. Nicks. Just buy the CRUWEAR model, no need to bother with the 4V. ;)

They'll both be sub 5 minute sell outs but at least the micarta cruwear will have multiple outlets/opportunities to score IMO. Frenzy, bloodbath, free for all....

Shaman can be unpredictable. BHQ M4 went pretty quick, The carbon fiber s90v shaman seemed to linger for a minute.

The first sprint is almost, if not always, carbon fiber and S90V. It's the weekend version of the Monday through Friday black g-10 and S30V. :)

This Shaman Sprint with Micarta and Cru-Wear at $208 won’t last long.

Has there been a firm release date for the shaman with the micarta/cru-wear? If I place a pre order just curious how long a wait we are talking.

I'm not sure. Maybe somebody else knows more than me... You could try emailing Knife Center and asking them.

I don’t know the specific answer to your question but I placed a preorder with Knife center and they only charged my card $1 until it’s ready to ship. At least that’s the impression I’m under. Makes it a no brainer to me. Surely you could cancel if you needed to

Are knifecenter preorders guaranteed to be fulfilled?

Nope, not by a long shot. In fact, I would guess that most are not fulfilled.

Not sure...I tried 3 different times and never received the knives...ended up buying elsewhere before KC shipped any but they did honor the cancellations. Others have probably had good experiences with them but I have not.

I hope that’s not true. You’d think they would know how many they will be getting in stock and after those pre-orders are filled not let anyone order it. As it isn’t right now on their website you can no longer pre-order it so hopefully thats what they are doing. I can’t think of worse customer service than opening it for pre-order taking too many and not delivering on it.

It is true. And if you rely on them to fill your pre-order, depending on how many folks are ahead of you, you may be very well disappointed. In the past, the best they could do was say you were probably "safe" if you pre-ordered on the first available day.

But see for yourself. Call them in the morning and ask them. What I have stated has been their policy in the past. Perhaps they have changed it due to customer dissatisfaction during prior sprint releases, but absent that change, the writing is on the wall.

If ordered several dozen knives from KC . They are great when it comes to regular orders . Pre-orders on the other hand not so much. I would agree with what’s been said. I have had zero luck with the pre- orders. So much so that I too cancelled orders and purchased the knife elsewhere. From a place that had the knife in stock and ready to go. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Just my one cent. Great company otherwise though .

I sent KC an email regarding my preorder and what guarantees, if any, I would have for fulfillment and below is the response which I received today. I don't know as to how long the preorder acceptance was active on their website, but mine must've been one of the later ones because the morning after mine was placed, they cancelled the pre-order option. I am not hiding my breath but YMMV:

"Although we have a large quantity on order with the manufacturer and through distribution, we are not provided with any details as to how many we will receive so cannot guarantee your pre-order will be filled. Orders will be filled based on the pre-order date. For this reason, we are no longer accepting pre-orders for this item. Due to the very limited nature of this item and its high demand, we reserve the right to limit the quantity to one per customer."
