despite the angles, and overly-tacti-ness (inherent to all karambits imho) it still looks like the designer nailed the proportions and overall utility/shape of the whole thing... it looks like it has good ergonomics and would feel nice in the hand
. . . and that model also comes in a short bus grind option as well. That said, that's one of his more normal looking models. Some of them are even more special, like the blinged out micro-pizza cutter.
the we incisor is about $250 - which seems perhaps a bit high... if it was 150ish I would have a hard time resisting
As a bit of context, for those who might be new to this thread. I'm a member of a Timewastebook group that also includes Mr. Caston. He's a professional, and a class act. Hell, one of his designs even got copied by Uncle Mao's Overseas Supply website. So you know that he's Internet Famous. Darriel has always impressed me as somebody who is genuinely trying to learn the art of knifemaking, and trying to find new directions to push the art. This, inevitably, ends up down some dead-end roads. I think the fairest criticism of him would be that he takes the Internet too seriously.
It's not exactly Tacticlol, so much as trying too hard to be too many things at once. Trying to sharpen it would also be too hard.
Get your mind out of the gutter!!!! Unless the rest of you is there with it, of course, and then it's perfectly ok.... ! Edited: You're not the only one who saw that, but you named it, it's yours.
This thread dropped down to like page 9 already??? anyway, you'll LOVE this one (for a good laugh) - I can't even make up names like this: (only $425 dollars) RichMade Knives Custom Baby Fat Bastard V2
naw, that would make it too exclusive - I enjoy the fact that tactilol crosses boundaries of all price points and all designers ; ) the best part about that one I just posted, (I think) is the fact it's 'v2' - version 2... I wonder how bad v1 was =D
Ah, RMK, answering those questions nobody asked. In this case "what would a rectangular metal turd look like?"
