    Nathan,

So before I get my D3v DEK shopping list together ;):p:p:D
Any chance of the heavy duty (yes thicker stock lol) DEK will be added to preorder ? :) I just have to ask :D

    Thanks

Driving home from work this week I saw these guys.
I, naturally, thought of Nathan and snapped a pic for him.

You should have a contest: Boot Dagger preorder vs DEK1. Rounded to the nearest dozen, see which one gets more orders.

I know, I know.:) But they would also fit nicely in fresh, unused sheets.

I'm sorry, I would really like to accommodate you here but I'm not sure that we can do a heavy duty extra thick version of this, this time around

Nathan, any thought on using D2 again? I have EDC in D2. I use it in the kitchen. It just cuts and cuts and cuts. I think the DEK1 in D2 would work even better because it’s slicier already. I’m sure hunters would love it for skinning game.

    Yes please :)

I love Nathan’s writeup for the swedge option, but I’m curious about how it looks.

Hey Nathan, what were the qualities of AEBL that made you decide to use it over elmax?

How would the penetrator tip work with a swedge vs without a swedge?

Nathan could you do a sharpened tip on a swedge?

I'm also curious if these are options that work together

Nathan, On the pre-order options , would you order one or the other on penetrator tip or swedge and if you order both would it be like my UF w/ sharpened tip?

Are Ti fasteners now standard? Just got my DEK1 invoice and it mentions Ti. I discovered CPK at the tail end of the black fasteners, and remember the change to stainless...did I miss an announcement about changing to Ti? Knew they have been available for a while as an optional upgrade.

Ti is not standard across our product lines, but Lorien specified titanium for the DEK1

@Nathan the Machinist I'm very interested in the grind which as you say transitions from deep hollow to flat closer to the tip. This is obviously a huge advantage of your machining methods.
Do you agree, that although nearly impossible to do accurately, one could attempt it by hand, by starting on a small wheel and then rotating the blade as you move down the bevel? Assuming that your wheel is wider than the height of the bevel.
