Found this Buck 124 X cocobola on craigslist. Came with a scout sheath. The very tip is bent slightly. I believe it will straighten out perfectly or sharpen till its gone. Will probably become a user. 20190406_220412.jpg 20190406_220332.jpg 20190406_220305.jpg 20190406_220242.jpg

18B17F3D-8083-4C88-B31B-CE5FDD9F4916.jpeg I have been posting pictures of the original Selector series blades. This is the last one, the buffalo skinner. It is shown next to Herter’s version of the original Russell Green River buffalo skinner. There are 10 different blades in this series, and this is the largest.
I think the Kalinga might work well for skinning buffalo.

This is a concept design knife built in 1994; a “Prototype”. There were only 5 built. It combines features from the 110 Folding Hunter and the 112 Ranger with several distinct features. The length of the knife is of a 110 but incorporates the front end handle hook of the 112. The knife has a lanyard hole in the rear bolster. There are no rivets holding the back end together. The back end is held together using a unique design on the inside of the handle and the spring that creates the tension on the blade. This also eliminates the separate stainless spring holder found on current model 110’s. The entire handle is thinned to reduce weight and bulk.(See side by side image with normal sized 110) The blade rivet is oversized to increase bearing surface. After building this knife and evaluating it was never produced. Bill Keyes, Chief Engineer and Manufacturing Manager at Buck, was the member of the project team who produced this prototype. This knife was sold to a private collector whom I purchased it from. This is a piece of Buck history that I am very proud to own.

Thank you ITE for another SPS. What a great history of the show and Buck knives. Thanks to all who contribute pictures and comments. It's a pleasure to come to this thread every Sunday never knowing what will show up...like Chilebrown's proto or bucklife's 110 linerlock! Here's my recently received LE 212 Ranger fixed blade.

I started filling display cases yesterday in order to figure out what knives I am taking to display at the Oregon Knife Collectors show next weekend. I am taking 7 display cases.
This display case has BCCI member knives.
Sorry for the fuzzy picture. Poor lighting makes the shutter stay open too long.
