^thats just teasing. I must have looked at those pictures over a dozen times. A thing of beauty.
Da hollow grinds are da $#!*
An HDFK with a 90-degree spine would be very, very cool.... Just saying...
What about a one piece knife like the Chris reeve shadow?
I might do some integral Shivs, but not like that. The hollow handle concept is cool I guess but that's an ergonomical disaster.
Ah yes, The Integral Shiv, can't wait for the Pre-order on these beauties
3.25"-3.75" blade, DEK handle 3/4-7/8th scale in size w/ blade being narrower depth..swedge..think shiv/DEK hybrid, maybe? Fuller? ..maybe?
.160 -.180 stock
How about a C-P-K-Filet?
That would be a good present for one of my sons that loves to fish.
A Spaghetti Squash knife. Something designed around the task of bisecting those tough mf'ers. I'm sure it would come in handy for other kitchen tasks, but it would be interesting to see a knife designed for this singular purpose.
Yeah, we already make one of those
Was thinking something a little less sword-y and a little more kitchen-y
HDFK, LC, MC, HDMC, BC, Behemother, K18...
Pick your Goldilocks option
I literally keep my Light Chopper handy to the kitchen for exactly this reason. I have a friend who had a bumper crop of spaghetti squash (actually a delicata/spaghetti hybrid with more flavor, less stringyness, and an honestly much tougher shell), and so the squash have become a major component of my diet as I try to eat healthier. The old LC is pretty great at the task.
That aside, the decadent excess of a CPK cleaver does sound delightful.
Yes, a Cleaver of sorts is what I had in mind as well! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a Chopper deal in the meantime!
You have the wrong attitude about this! Think of it more as an opportunity to expand the list of things that you can justify purchasing based on what you need in the kitchen!
I'm already building a custom AEB-L 4 piece Kitchen set from LT Wright. Gonna be hard to justify adding a $1500 sword for splitting squash at this point. I like where your head is at though!
Just popped into my head and I've got to post it straight away before I forget. Following the the boot dagger (I don't know if it's a success, but based on the last sale thread with 20 of them gone in a minute, it may be ), what about some thing EDC-theme like a Push-Dagger (blade between index and middle finger for a correct design)? I'd probably stay up to 3am in my timezone, only to loss out on the sale again. But I'd get one in a heartbeat if the stars align..
