    Her mug survived the earthquake last year but got a good chip. It's a reminder of how terrifying something like that can be and to always keep good knives and other necessities handy.

    So many of the plants I’ve been calling weeds and pulling from the garden year after year, are actually high in nutrients, or have some medicinal use.
    Spurge, aka: common purslane, for example. I was walking through a Friends garden when he pointed some out and told me how it’s full of antioxidants.
