Normally my google fu is quite good, and havent had an issue tracking down even obscure steels, however cant seem to find a place that carries 6150 plate/flat bar.

Appreciate anyone who has a line on it.

If you have, or download, the ‘Knife Steel Chart’ app there is a long list of proprietary names for it. That should help with your Google fu.

I looked for is a few years back. I had no luck. Maybe try a custom spring shop, especially one that does industrial truck springs.

I believe Nick Wheeler used 6150 (among other steels). Maybe hit him up on Instagram and ask him where he got it.

Go to Admiralsteel.com click on Spring, Strip & Alloy steel, bottom line.
